Here is the trailer of the highly anticipated July 2009 movie, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
Can’t wait for it! Are you excited?
I always watch The Inside Edition. I love the mix of news in that program. In today’s news, there is this 13-year-old kid who sent 14,528 text messages in a month! The average text messages sent of a kid her age is around 1,700 a month. Imagine, her text messages is equivalent to 440 pages, as thick as a phonebook!
According to the teen, she texts her best friend even when they are sitting side by side. The good news is that, she has an unlimited text message plan and her cellphone bill amounted to only 90 bucks. Still, this kid should be taught a lesson. Does she even take a break from texting???
I don’t know why here in the Philippines, lead stars of a movie have to talk about kissing scenes, love scenes, parts of their bodies just to sell a movie! There is a movie from Star Cinema to be shown within the week. Love Me Again starring Piolo Pascual and Angel Locsin. Every time the two are interviewed on camera, they are asked about Piolo’s abs OR their hot love scene. That’s it!
The cinematography of the movie is really great, as far as I could tell from the trailer. The story might be good. The supporting cast, great. They can inject that in their interviews. But no! The local showbiz reporters are more interested in the cheesy love scene and Piolo’s uninteresting abs!
Such is the state of our local showbiz.

Today is the Feast of the Black Nazarene. Thousands of devotees flock to the Quiapo Church to participate in the procession, which lasted for over 12 hours today, the longest one in the history of the Black Nazarene. What was supposed to be a new route mapped to avoid accidents was discarded when devotees followed the old route, the streets that they knew for years.
The statue was finally brought inside the church at past 9 PM today, 6 hours late from the original estimated time. You should see how many devotees were at the church and around it! It’ll give you goosebumps, I swear.
In this tough time, people need something to hold on to, an anchor to keep their fears at bay. And He is the easiest one to hold on to, our faith the best anchor there is.

Richard Batista, a vascular surgeon in Long Island, is asking his soon-to-be-former wife, Dawnell Batista, to give back his kidney which he donated to her in June 2001. He is divorcing his wife, claiming she cheated on him by having an extramarital affair. As part of the litigation, Richard and his lawyer is demanding $1.5million (£1 million), which he claims the kidney is worth. The way our minds work when we want revenge so badly!
Here’s the catch though. An organ donation is considered a gift in US laws. Organs cannot be bought and sold. Also, according to legal experts, there is no way Richard will get his kidney back. Poor guy!
Don’t you feel like the days are flying past us? Have you done what you ought to do in 2008? How many of your goals have you really accomplished? If you will ask me, I failed in the biggest goal I had for last year. But no worries, I will just continue it for this year. It is a never ending process, I guess.
One of my goals for this year is to save. Just a little bit addition to my small and pathetic savings account.
