My man!

Oh my! Have you seen Rob Pattinson attend the Cannes showing of Inglorious Basterds? He looked so yummy in his tuxedo!!! He sure took the time to dress up and look the dashing young man he is. Sigh. My sister is teasing me all the time that I am the only one still drooling over him. I don’t think so. I really think that many women out there are still into the R-Patz mania. Wait till New Moon comes out!

Transfer files

I went to my friend’s house and asked a copy of some of her files. I totally forgot to bring the laptop cable with me. The files were really big in sizes. Luckily, my friend has a flash drive ready to be used as a means for us to transfer files between our laptops. It really amazes me how easy it is these days to transfer files. I mean, before, you have to buy a number of floppy disks and break down the file to be able to transfer a file. Now, a usb flash drive can do the trick.

Cordial and respectful

Of all places to see an ex-boyfriend, she saw him at one of the rv parks that her family frequents. Needless to say, she was shocked to see him there, with his wife and kid. You can say that it is not a very amicable break-up that they had in the past. Thank goodness they are now both adults and had the grace to greet each other cordially. She was even introduced to his wife as an old friend. It was still a very awkward situation but they were able to treat each other with respect that day.

High sales

Recession or not, sales for fat loss pills are high. A friend of mine working in a pharmacy here in the city told me that the sales of these pills are consistently high and the media is largely to be blamed or thanked for it. To be beautiful these days one should be thin. And to be thin fast, weight loss pills are the ticket to it.

Sports activities

Little kids in our neighborhood are encouraged to join sports tournaments instead of being stuck at home doing nothing. I am all for this type of activity for the kids. And for teens as well. Instead of being lured to do vices or drugs or alcohol, they are better off participating in sports activities. My brother is assigned to purchase soccer trophies to be used in the upcoming awarding ceremonies. And my cousins are also active as part of the committee taking care of the games.

Slim again

Claudine Barretto was looking great at The Buzz yesterday! I noticed that she’s back to her slim figure again. An ephedra effect perhaps? She’s not sharing her secrets. I know that a local beauty clinic is taking care of her whole body for her, in exchange for endorsing it. And the clinic is actually doing a great job on her! I wish I can slim down as fast as that.

Dry and old

Have you noticed Carmina Villaroel looking so old beside Claudine Barretto and Jodi Sta. Maria yesterday at The Buzz? Her forehead gets so wrinkly whenever she frowns I was thinking why she can’t even get a wrinkle cream for it or something. And her skin looks dry and old. I hope somebody’s telling her to take care of her skin more. I think she’s earning more than enough for that. She can also ask a local beauty center to take care of her skin for her in exchange for endorsing it. There are many options for her and I hope she takes the necessary steps to a better looking skin.

Pacquiao-Hatton fight roundup

pacquiaohatton

  • Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao won over Ricky “The Hitman” Hatton in the epic Battle of East and West that was held in Las Vegas. The Pacman knocked down the Briton on the second round of the scheduled 12 round fight. It took The Hitman quite a few minutes to regain his wits.
  • Hollywood celebrities watched the fight at the MGM Grand. Jack Nicholson, Mariah Carey with her husband, Nick Cannon, Jay-Z, P. Diddy, Mark Walhberg, The UFC Fighter Batista and others. Mark Walhberg is a big fan of Pacman’s trainer, Freddie Roach.
  • There was a big to-do over the way Martin Nievera sang the country’s national anthem, Lupang Hinirang. He sang it in a different tune and had this big “birit” at the end of the song. A congressman is even contemplating of suing him for it. Ha-ha-ha!
  • And did I mention that General Santos City fans were shocked when Pacquiao was introduced as hailing from Saranggani Province?
  • Pacquiao is now being hailed as the greatest fighter of all time, next only to Muhammad Ali. What a great honor!
  • Unfortunately, he officially announced in CNN that he is seriously considering running for Congressman of Saranggani Province.

Gazebo obsession

My sister and I love romance novels. We have quite a number of it at home. We read this one wherein most of the great scenes happened in a gazebo. And we are getting obsessed with having a gazebo at home! We saw this gazebo kits being sold and we are thinking if we should order one. Quite a job but I think it will look good in the garden.

Stubborn brother

I am always telling my brother not to touch his face with dirty hands. You know how teens are. They get skin breakouts easily. He might need the best acne treatment if he does not listen to me. He’s a very skin-conscious person. But sometimes, he can be really stubborn about things. And just like a typical teen, the more you tell him to do something, the more he won’t do it. Time for some reverse psychology!
