I still can’t over the fact that our neighbor died suddenly. Just like that. His life was taken away from him in a second. It’s sad and shocking. He looked healthy, according to some neighbors who’ve seen him before that fatal day. What’s more sad is the fact that he had no life insurance to speak of. He left his family with their family business, sure. But his wife does not know how to run it and some other things only he knew about.

We all would go there eventually. If we can prepare for it right away, then let’s do so.

Mico is looking for auto insurance quotes. He got a car as a gift from his older brother and he’s getting an insurance for it. I am actually glad Mico is being responsible now. He’s been a happy-go-lucky guy for such a long time and now he’s stepping up, taking care of his own bills and must-haves.

I always tell my love ones to be responsible as best they can. Take charge of their lives. That way, when they fail or succeed, they only have themselves to blame or praise.

I was laughing so hard this morning when my aunt called me up to tell me something about their furnace filter. It caused so much mess in their house that she had to go out and get a replacement immediately. I wish I can say the reason here but I’d rather not since it’s too personal. Suffice it to say that the call made my day!

I am close to my aunt. She calls me up almost daily to tell me what’s happening to her life. It’s a great way to bond and I appreciate the fact that we are closer now more than ever.

The insurance quotes are coming in tomorrow. I have asked my agent once more for another round of quotes. I got one last month but I haven’t decided yet. My agent told me the rates might have changed already so I am getting new quotes from him.

January is almost over. I have a lot on my list of ‘must do’ for this year and I want it done as soon as possible. I don’t want to find myself cramming for time come latter part of this year. Plus, some of the things I need to do should be done NOW like the insurance renewals and all that.

I used to work for a company wherein my boss wanted me to join in almost every meeting there was that had a financial aspect in it. It was just her way to make sure that the finance department was not being bypassed in important decision making in the company. And I understood her ’strategy’. There was a project management software presentation and I was a part of it. Of course, the finance department was involved especially in the budget side of things. As usual, I was asked to participate in the planning process.

Suffice it to say that in my two years of stay in the company, I probably spent a year of it in the conference room.

My grandma is asking me to get her a home insurance quote. The home insurance she has will expire very soon and she wants to know if there is something better out there. I told her that there is surely something better at a cheaper price that she can get and she wants to see that.

This is what I suggest to everyone whose insurance policies will expire soon. Get an insurance quote. Check out if there is another insurance policy that is better than the one you have. I am sure there’s one out there. Gather information and compare the benefits you will get from the policies. Then decide which one will benefit you best.

I’m done with some tasks. I am off to enjoy this weekend. I think I will catch up on sleep and get some quality time with the family. Been working almost nonstop for the past week and it’s about time to unwind.

The weight loss stories I hear and read inspire me to follow through with my plans of getting near my ideal weight this year. Man, it’s so hard! I am used to eating rice in every meal. But because rice is the number one enemy of mine, I have to cut down my intake of it. I’m telling you, it’s making me cranky! I feel deprived somehow. Not just on rice but also on some dishes that I love.

But as I’ve said, I am inspired because of the stories I heard and read about. And I am determined to stay focused on my goal. Lose weight!

Heather is pregnant. Her husband is really doting on her, buying her every little thing that can help her be in her healthiest along with their baby. He got her the best prenatal vitamins that her doctor advised. He also got her something for her baby bump (which is still unrecognizable), and one for her lower back for when she sits in front of the computer to work. Heather was gushing about it the other day and it’s really making her happy, the little things that her husband does for her.

It’s really, really sweet! I do wish all husbands are like that to their wives. Not just when they’re pregnant but all throughout their married life.

I saw this from a tweet of Georgina herself. The two ladies are the exes of Richard. I am sure most guys out there are so envious of the lucky man. And a girl is gnashing her teeth somewhere from sheer jealousy! They just keep on denying it but entertainment reports said that Richard’s current girlfriend is GMA-7 artist Jewel Mische.

Why deny it? Probably to protect the public’s perception of Richard as a single man falling for whoever is his current love interest.

An old family friend is in bad need of a wrinkle cream when I saw her. She looked haggard and worn out. She’s not even that old yet but she looked like she’s just turned 60! I think the stress from work and from home is making her all worn out looking already. She didn’t even know she’s frowning until I pointed it out to her.

Poor soul.

I do hope her husband and kids will find the time to treat her out to a relaxing day. It could be to watch a movie or have a body massage. She deserves it. And needs it badly!

Lynn is a freelance consultant. She also has two businesses under her name that she manages. She’s in the process of setting up another business. But she needs to get that personal budgeting software first to be able to organize her finances well.

I am a big fan of Lynn when it comes to managing her businesses. She’s made it go so far even during the recession. Now she’s earning the fruits of her hard work. Imagine, being a consultant is not a walk in the park. But while doing that, she’s also making sure two businesses will succeed. Wow!

I bet the third business will be as successful as the first two!

I want to go somewhere this weekend where I can lie down by the poolside and enjoy the sun. It’s been months and months since the last time I’ve been to the beach. It’ll be really cool to go there this weekend. I just doubt if my hectic schedule will permit it.

How about an 8-hour sleep in instead? Hmm…

Live and let live. I’m trying to apply that philosophy to my life for a decade now. I’m not always as openminded before as I am now. Circumstances in my life have made me realize that life is short. And I have more worries at home so why add to it?

Someone I know is thinking of using male enhancement products but is afraid of being ridiculed by his buddies. I told him that if it will make him happy, then do it! Just read reviews like the extenze reviews I’ve seen before going ahead. It’s better that he’s equipped with information about a certain product(s) before getting it.

But as always, I tell people I know that the world will be a better place if each one of us will only learn to live and let live.
