Leo my man…

My love for Leonardo di Caprio went back after watching The Departed. It then intensified once again after watching Inception!

I actually liked him when he was a teen. Romeo and Juliet with Clare Danes? I’ve watched that! Among other movies he made when he was still a teen. Here he was in his teens…

Leo di Caprio

And here he was in a shoot for the Rolling Stone magazine…

Leonardo di Caprio

He is sooo sexy! Love the man so much!!!

So hot!!!

TrueBlood Rolling Stone

The trio of Alexander Skaarsgard, Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer of True Blood graced the cover of the newest issue of Rolling Stone. And look how hot they are! Bare ass naked! Just the way I like my two vampires!

Hehehe

I am late in watching some episodes of the newest season of True Blood. In fact, I stopped in episode 3. The reason was I haven’t much time to watch it unlike before. But I will surely do a marathon one of these days.

Yummy Eric!!!

Adding more to her collection

Ah yes, gold coins. My cousin was given some by her godmother when she turned 18. Since then, she’s been obsessing about adding another one to her small collection. She wants to increase the number of gold coins she has so she can really start a collection of her own.

She is saving up for it and gathering the information she needs at the US Gold Bureau site. She is also asking elders around her for input regarding buying gold coins, and silver if she saves enough. I know my uncle, her dad, is interested so he just might invest in it, too. Find out more about gold at USGoldBureau.com now.

Survivor Philippines’ Solenn Heussaff

Survivor Philippines Solenn Heussaff

I am curious to see how this woman fared in the to-be-shown Survivor Philippines celebrity edition. Solenn Heussaff is a member of the clique set here in the country. A socialite and a commercial and print ad model, I am not sure if she can really survive 39 days in the wilds.

Let’s see if she won’t be a diva on the show. Or a spoiled brat like most socialites I read about.

Survivor Philippines Celebrity Showdown Edition

Survivor Philippines Celebrity Edition

Survivor has always been an interesting reality show for me. So when it was announced two years ago, if I am not mistaken, that Philippines would have its own Survivor edition, of course, I was one of those who were excited about it. The first edition of Survivor Philippines was good. I watched it from start to finish. I was in agreement with the winner. And Paolo Bediones was a good host, not of the calibre of Jeff Probst but still a good one all things considered.

I didn’t get to watch the second edition because I felt it was too corny. Everything seemed to be scripted already. And then they announced the change of hosts from Paolo to Richard Gutierrez and GMA7′s decision to host a celebrity showdown instead of the unknown castaways.

That’s when I decided to watch again. I will watch the celebrity showdown and will try to summarize here what happened on each episode.

Stay tuned.

Ticket to a good life

Who knew that an old box, stored for years and years in the attic, could be the ticket to a good life for Dave and his family? They were cleaning out the attic when they saw an old box filled with dust and whatnot at the bottom of a pile of other boxes. It was Dave’s grandma’s box. When they opened it, they found an old passbook of hers and guess what? It had more than enough money to last them for years without working!

Dave plans to buy gold bullion as an investment via USGoldBureau.com and divide some of the money for each of his two kids.

I love Anthony Bourdain!

Anthony Bourdain

I do believe my love for Anthony Bourdain will never die. I do love the man! He is intelligent, smart, witty, and a foodie rebel! What a deadly combination in a man.

I love his dry wit when relating his food adventures. I really make sure that I tune in whether it’s a new episode or a replay of his No Reservations show. If you haven’t watched an episode yet, go catch the next one. You will enjoy it whether you are a foodie or a traveler by heart.

Importance of education

I admire celebrities who recognize the importance of education and how fleeting fame could be. I know some celebrities who are studying through online schools so that they can get their degrees while performing. I admire them because unknowingly, they are setting good examples to their fans, especially the young ones.

Education is important. A degree is something you can always carry with you and fall back on should things didn’t work out for you. Go and get a degree. No need to quit work if you have one now. All you need to do is find a reputable online school, choose the degree you want to get, and then study at your own convenience!

New host for Survivor Philippines

Richard Gutierrez

So Richard Gutierrez will be the new host of Survivor Philippines being aired at GMA7. I guess he is the logical choice considering there’s a big hole left behind by Paolo Bediones in terms of hosting. And since it will be a celebrity showdown, might as well get a celebrity from their roster.

Let’s see how he will fare. I know he is an outdoors type of guy. I just don’t know if he will be a good host, probing the contestants to get some juicy tidbits for the viewers to enjoy.

Salon services

The salon Jen frequents is in need of service personnel. Jen immediately thought of Regency, the Cosmetology School in Austin, which has students who are not only well-versed on the theories of beauty but also well trained in salon services while still on campus. The graduates of Regency would be the best candidates for the positions open at the salon.

Regency has almost 30 schools across 9 states. Their students are actually sought after because of the training they have. If you want to be a part of a school like Regency, go to RegencyBeauty.com and find out more about the school and their unique approach to arming their graduates with enough knowledge on salon services.

Project Runway Season 8

Project-Runway-Season-8

If you don’t know yet, I am a big fan of Project Runway. I love the tandem of Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn. I am excited to watch Project Runway Season 8 and I am hoping the contestants will be a good batch and really have the potential to become big shot fashion designers.

Can’t wait!

$50M for Inception!

leonardo-dicaprio-joseph-gordon-levitt

Wow! Leo di Caprio is set to rake in at least $50 million for his movie Inception! According to Forbes.com, it is courtesy of a rare deal for a share of first dollar gross points, the star will rake in his highest pay yet for a single film.

When the news came out, Inception was already predicted to earn $750 million. I am not sure how much the movie raked in around the world but I do know it really made a killing in worldwide box office!

Poignant moment

It was a poignant moment the time they showed the slide show of Beth from whence she was a little kid up to the present. She turned 65 and her grandson prepared the slide show for her. It was his gift and she cried happy tears during the presentation. The slide show brought back so many happy, and some sad, memories of Beth that she couldn’t help herself but be overcome by emotion.

She is showing the slide show to her guests. She would get her laptop and show her guests what her grandson did.

Ready for use

I attended a seminar a few months ago and we were billeted at a plush hotel in the town. Do you know what I enjoyed the most during that 3-day stay? The heated blanket! It was quite cold during that time. I can’t go to sleep with my jacket on so what I did was I wore a sweatshirt. When I went to bed, that’s when I realized there’s a heated blanket ready for me to use.

Let’s just say that after that stay, I became a big fan of the heated blanket I bought three for the family!

My opinion

I thought rich people just buy whatever brand that’s most popular these days and then that’s it. I was wrong! They also read reviews to know which will give them the quality their money can buy. I have a neighbor who came to visit me the other day. She told me all about the desktop computer reviews she read online and she asked my opinion which will be the best choice. Apparently, people in the neighborhood told her that I know something about personal computers, printers, LCD versus CRT monitors, laptops and such.

I told her my choice and why. She called me up a couple of hours ago to tell me that she already bought the desktop and will be installing it within the day.
