I know so many people were offended by Ricky Gervais’ opening monologue in the 68th Golden Globes Awards. Here’s the video below and see for yourself…

I’m sorry but I do think it was quite hilarious! I do believe British people have a dry sense of humor and that it’s just a matter of pulling it off. I loved that opening monologue of his! What he said were true but only said as jokes. That one about The Tourist being terrible… I’ve read about that! And about Sex and The City 2. Come on! He just said what most of us were thinking when we saw the poster and teaser of the movie, right? The jabs on Mel Gibson, Hugh Hefner. They’re partly true!

It was one hilarious opening monologue and I don’t think that the stars hit by that were even angry at Ricky.
