Camille Prats-Linsangan: Widow at 26

Camille Prats-Linsangan, or better known as Princess Sarah to those who’ve seen her acting at a very young age, is now a widow at 26 years of age. Her husband of three years, Anthony Linsangan, passed away yesterday morning. He succumbed to nasopharyngeal cancer. He was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer June of last year and three months before his death had already stopped chemo and radiation procedures and just underwent pain management. According to Camille’s brother, John Prats, his brother-in-law’s cancer spread to his spine and became cancer of the bones. I can only imagine the pain the guy went through.

Camille was interviewed on a showbiz talk show yesterday and she said that she couldn’t believe that she’s now a widow at 26. She couldn’t believe that a man as young and full of life as her husband could be taken just like that. It is really hard to see a love one taken away. Been there. No words can give comfort or peace to the grieving family. No words can take away the pain. Good thing Camille has a large family. She also has their three-year-old son Nathan to draw strength from. And she has her husband’s family for additional support.

Condolence to the Prats-Linsangan family. Rest in peace, Anthony Linsangan.

Thyroid problems

A friend of mine is having thyroid problems. It’s affecting her work performance that her boss noticed it already. Co-workers suggested she go to a Thyroid doctor austin to have herself checked and she agreed. She will be going on a 10-day sick leave to have herself checked for her thyroid problems. She will also be undergoing an executive checkup to be sure that she doesn’t have any other medical problem.

You know if there’s one thing that I want done it’s an executive checkup as well. It’s just too damn expensive in this part of the world! I just wish there’s an affordable one that the likes of me can afford. Anyway, I will check with my friend regarding the progress of her thyroid problems and see how she’s doing.

Biker Greg

Our neighbor Greg is a biker. He has a big motorbike that he loves like a wife. In honor of his 6th vintage bike remodeling, he is throwing a party of sorts in his backyard for some choice people. My uncle is invited and he’s asking us what he could possibly give someone who already has everything he needs in life.

We told my uncle that he could give Greg acid t-shirts. If you know the guy, or see him regularly like my siblings and I do, you know right away that he likes to wear his biker shirts. That is one thing that he can’t have enough. My uncle agreed. He’s off today to get Biker Greg his biker shirts.

My favorite series to date, HBO’s A Game of Thrones, now had an honor bestowed to one of its main characters Tyrion Lannister or the one they call “The Imp“… an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for Peter Dinklage!

The 2011 Emmy Awards took place yesterday and Peter wasn’t even expecting a win. And when he did, he wasn’t prepared for the speech he gave.

The ‘Game of Thrones’ actor gave a gracious and mostly conventional speech, until the subject of his pet-care arrangements came up. “I’d like to thank my dog sitter, whose name is Kitty, for taking care of my dog, Kevin, back in New York, while I’m here.” via AOLtv

Turning to Youtube

When I don’t feel like turning on the radio, I turn to Youtube. I have an account there and I put a lot of my favorite videos under the “Watch Later” list so I can play it whenever I feel like it. You know how sometimes you want to do a youtube video download? Well, I feel that way most of the time! Especially for the videos of my favorite songs.

One of those songs that I have on repeat mode now is Need You Now by Lady Antebellum, and the cover version of Boyce Avenue. I love both versions and I play both videos repeatedly. I think I will download the videos and save it in my laptop to be played when I want to be in a romantic mood.

Location shoot

A motley crew of a well-known eccentric director will be going on a location shoot in a far flung area. The crew calls it the boondocks and it can very well be it because they are indeed going up a mountain to shoot a commercial for a bottled drink.

The one in-charge with compensation and benefits for the whole crew is already hard at work getting term life insurance rates and finalizing things because the shoot will be happening by next week and the climb will start as early as Tuesday morning. Despite the location, the crew is excited for the shoot as the director, as eccentric as he is, is known for his brilliant work and his generosity once given a bonus for a successful ad.

Maria la del Barrio

ABS-CBN’s Maria la del Barrio is a new teleserye that irritates me a lot! The story was written for another culture and when applied locally, it just makes the character look stupid. Instead of the innocence that the original Maria exuded, Erich Gonzales playing the Maria in this teleserye looks totally annoying with her burnt tiara and her curly hair that no barrio lass sports.

And the leading man Enchong Dee… let’s just say there are so many actors in ABS-CBN it makes you wonder why these two are always being shoved down our throats pre-TV Patrol!

Lavish weddings

If you are a TV and movie junkie like me, you surely followed the Kim Kardashian-Kris Humphries wedding preparation/bash. That wedding was undoubtedly a very lavish wedding, but it was sponsored by a lot of companies as arranged by the bride’s mom equally a celebrity on her own Kris Jenner.

But you know, one wedding that I really like was that of Prince William and Kate Middleton. You can just see how happy the two were that day!

Both lavish weddings is a celebrity wedding inspiration. I think it is obvious that a lot of celebrities are going after the Prince William-Kate Middleton type of wedding. We’ve seen it in the Kardashian siblings bridesmaid dresses. And we will surely see more of it before the year ends.

Kate Gosselin and her kids’ show Kate Plus 8 is leaving the airwaves. And theirs is not the only show saying bye-bye. Kat Von D‘s reality show LA Ink has also been canceled by TLC.

TLC has decided that the current season of ‘LA INK’ will be its last. The network is proud of what the series has accomplished in its four seasons, following Kat Von D’s journey as an artist from Miami to Los Angeles.
- TLC’s statement said

According to celebrity tattoo artist Kat Von D, she actually quit the show!

Whichever it is, both Kate and Kat will be off the air for now.
