My favorite Alan Rickman, Harry Potter series’ very own Severus Snape, is celebrating his birthday today…
Happy birthday, Alan/Severus!!!
You are one helluva character/actor and we wish you more success in your craft.
Several Young Adult books are being turned into movies. After the success of the Twilight saga and the Harry Potter series, I think the movie world finally realized what a lucrative market the young adults are.

I Am Number Four by Pittacus Lore is already turned into a movie. It is a novel about teen aliens hiding here on Earth. Pittacus Lore is just a pseudonym of a person hired by James Frey to write a story that he already had in mind. There was a controversy surrounding this James Frey YA book factory that he has. But that’s another story to tell.

The rights for the book If I Stay by Gayle Forman is said to be bought by Summit Entertainment already, the production behind the Twilight movies. Dakota Fanning is reportedly the one being eyed to play the lead role.
These are just two of the many YA novels that are turned/being turned into movies by big Hollywood production companies. There are more!
Stephenie Meyer appeared in The Oprah Show and discussed The Twilight Saga. One of the topics they talked about was the possibility of a fifth Twilight book. But her reply was cut from the telecast. Thank goodness a staff from the show told EW about it.
Here’s the article where you can read Stephenie’s reply. Will there be a fifth Twilight book? Or is Breaking Dawn more than enough closure to the saga?

Apparently, people are asking if Paulo Coelho is really the one posting in his Facebook account. Here’s the answer. Paulo in front of his desktop, Facebook-ing.
I do know he’s the one sending out the tweets. I am a follower and I feel it’s really him. I think he’s gaining more readers and followers because he is active in these popular social networking sites.

I am looking for new books to read. This is The Poet by Michael Connelly, recommended by a friend’s friend. I do hope it’s a good read. I love suspense/thriller stories and I was promised that this book has both.
I haven’t started it yet but I already have the book. Hopefully, it will live up to the promise made to me by the one who recommended it. I don’t like being disappointed in a book because it stops me from my reading marathon.
