Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone!!!

My friend living in Chicago called me up and told me about how cold it is now there. When we talked it was -2 degrees Celsius! Can you imagine how cold that is? Good thing she told me that they have a heated mattress pad to keep them warm at night, or when they feel like lying down for a while. They also have leg and arm warmers to help keep the cold out from their bodies.

I don’t know if I can live in a really cold place. I’ve grown up in a tropical country and a cold wind blowing is already a cause for us to bring out the heavy padded jackets. I get cough and colds when it’s really cold so I think I’d better stay put where I am now.

I was looking for a jansport backpack when I was doing my Christmas shopping last week. The store assistant told be that it was out of stock because it was in demand with shoppers. I can’t blame them for choosing the brand as it is well-known among those looking for quality-made backpacks.

I will just buy one online for my lil’ bro. He really likes it and I know that it is the only one that can make him smile this Christmas. I don’t have it yet but I will print a copy of the backpack for him to see tonight!

Can’t wait to see his reaction! Hahaha!

Speaking of the trip I recently took with friends, I made sure to remember every detail of the hotel bathroom. We stayed at this posh hotel and the bathroom was immaculate! I loved it! I want the same bathroom at home so I made a mental note of the layout.

I even love the bathroom vanity as it didn’t get in the way of three girls rushing to prepare and go out of the room as soon as we could. That’s what I want at home. I have sisters and we share a bathroom. Can you imagine when all of us have to prepare at the same time and are in a rush?

Chaos, I tell you! I want the same bathroom at home!

My friend and her boyfriend got into an argument over the latter’s lost RayBan sunglasses. We were on a trip that time and when my friend entered the room I was occupying with two other friends of ours, she was near tears. Her boyfriend was looking for the sunglasses and he was already getting annoyed, transferring the annoyance to my friend who didn’t have a clue where the sunglasses went.

When my friend went back to their room, he already found it. It was lodged under their bed! He apologized to her and was also near tears because he was thinking my friend told us about it and we might be annoyed with him. Hahaha! Of course, we weren’t as it was just a simple argument between couples. They made up and we went out to explore the city.

What a cute couple!

A newly-wed couple in the neighborhood is lucky enough to have the best principal sponsors in their wedding. One provided them with a big fat check to cover for the expenses of their wedding. One provided them with all-expenses-paid honeymoon trip to a private island resort. One provided them with a mountain log cabin getaway complete with rustic bedroom furniture and a breath-taking vista of nature. And one gave them a year-long supply of grocery items from the sponsor’s store.

Can you imagine getting better wedding sponsors?

I’d probably be lucky to find one that generous!

What do you get a woman who almost has everything she wants in life? And one who shops almost daily!

That’s my dilemma with a friend of mine who has almost all the stuff that she wants. She shops almost daily online for make-up, accessories, clothes and other fashion-related stuff she can put in her bag and bedroom. So when I was thinking of a perfect gift for her, someone alerted me to forever 21 coupons. And I thought, why not give her that as a gift?

I am not much into fashion stuff so fashion-related coupons, if found in my possession, will surely go to my sisters and close friends. The Forever 21 coupons will go to my fashionista friend!

Who wouldn’t say YES to a simple request of a tween boy who loves his gadgets? Of course, I wouldn’t say NO to a simple request to get my young cousin a vga to hdmi cables. That’s his only request for this holiday season because the ones he had that came with his gadgets no longer work for some reason and the cables are not included in the warranty. He told me that if I would be giving him a gift (of course, I would!) then that’s his request.

Kids these days are more tech savvy than their elders. You wouldn’t believe how good with cameras my little girl is! And my younger cousins, they know more with gaming gadgets than my 20-year-old brother!

It’s not easy when you are in a hospital with a sick love one. You have to find a diversion of some sort so as not to focus on the morbid thoughts swirling in your mind. When my mom got sick and we had to go in and out of the hospital in a period of three years, I was able to observe health workers. How hard they worked and how tough they were. That’s the diversion I had back then.

I am just reminded of them when I saw med carts at Howard-Medical.com while browsing for it as per my uncle’s request. He works for a local hospital and is suggesting med carts to be used to help workers with their daily routine.

There’s this woman I know that has really gorgeous eyes. Tantalizing eyes as what the people around her call it. I was reminded of her when I was searching for the best eyelash growth products out there right now. I am inspired by Adele and the other celebrities with thick eyelashes, both fake and real. I also want those thick eyelashes that goes perfect with a simple look.

Oh, well, I guess we can’t have it all, right? I mean I know for a fact that my asset lies not on my looks but on somewhere else in me. Others are blessed with good looks. I’d be happy with tantalizing eyes.
