He said in a magazine interview that he was offered the role of Edward Cullen before Rob Pattinson was able to grab it. He was working for another movie in Africa the time the script was sent to him so he declined and said he’d be interested in another role instead. So the role of Emmett Cullen was given to him.

He would have been a hot Edward Cullen for sure!

Scifirewire.com is reporting that Twilight might be adapted as a Japanese anime. Can you imagine Robert Pattinson’s character, Edward Cullen, as an anime character?

Catherine Hardwicke, director of the Twilight movie, was said to have commented something to the effect to Rob Pattinson when they were filming the final sequence of the film. Rob was heard as saying… “I look Asian in this scene,” Pattinson says. “I do, I look like an anime character.”
